Wolverine offense sputters in loss to MMCRU
South O’Brien limited MMCRU to just four hits but could not muster enough offense in falling to the Royals 5-0 June 19. The loss dropped the Wolverines’ season record to 4-12. This was a home game for the South O’Brien but it was moved to Marcus due to wet conditions at Paullina.Trevor Fiddelke pitched all seven innings for South O’Brien. In addition to allowing the four hits, he struck out four batters, walked two and hit two. Four of the five runs were earned.
A single by Mitchell Enger was the lone hit for the Wolverines. Enger also drew a bases-on-balls while Fiddelke was walked two times.
Damian Villarreal was busy defensively with five putouts in center field. There were two South O’Brien errors.
