Ridge View drew a large number of schools to Holstein Golf and Country Club Saturday, September 14 for the Tim Thomas Cross Country Classic. There were a total of 25 girls teams and 19 boys teams competing in two classes. That does not include the runners from schools that did not field complete teams.
South O’Brien was part of the Class B field. The Wolverine boys scored 371 points to place 16th. Riverside easily won Class B with a 66 total. Runner-up Fort Dodge St. Edmond was far behind at 139 points.
Landen Davenport again was the top finisher for South O’Brien. He placed 58th. Trayton Cobb moved up from JV to run varsity and finished 64th. Ethan Schwarz was 92nd, Corbin Warnke 94th and Bensen Rohwer 95th. Rounding out the Wolverine contingent were Caleb Buenger in 114th place and Asa Flinders in 119th. Bode Bailey ran in the JV race and finished 27th.
South O’Brien’s pair of girls runners were again in action. Hailei Wallinga finished 105th and Tricia Kilts 118th.
