South O’Brien’s cross country season continued September 10 at the Sibley-Ocheyedan Cross Country Invitational. The event was held at Sibley Golf & Country Club.
In the girls varsity run Hailei Wallinga placed 50th and Tricia Kilts was 59th. The Wolverines had too few runners to compete for the team title which was won by Alta-Aurelia.
The varsity boys competition saw Landen Davenport finish 56th, Ethan Schwarz 60th and Bensen Rohwer 67th. Also for the Wolverines, Caleb Buenger placed 89th, Corbin Warnke 94th, Asa Flinders 95th and Bode Bailey 98th. Trayton Cobb ran in the JV race where he finished fourth.
South O’Brien’s team total was 352, which placed the Wolverines 14th. Okoboji was the boys winner with a total of 33 points.
