Einck is 12th at girls golf Regional Final
Sophomore Lindsey Einck was the only golfer representing South O’Brien High School at the Girls 1A Regional Final Tournament at Buena Vista Lake Creek Golf Course in Storm Lake on Wednesday, May 15. Lindsey shot a 105 (52-53), which put her in a tie for 12th place in a field of 50 golfers. It took a 97 to move on as an individual to the state meet.
Einck led the Wolverines playing in the number 1 spot all season. She had a great season, finishing on the leaderboard in 10 meets and earning 1st team all-conference honors. In her 2nd season in the varsity lineup, Lindsey showed incredible leadership and gained tremendous experience. Look for her to be a leader in the WEC and post-season play in the coming years.
Central Lyon and Akron Westfield advanced to the 1A State Tournament, scheduled for May 23-24 at Marshalltown. The top six overall golfers also punched their tickets to play as individuals.
