The South O’Brien Livestock Judging Team continued its summer tour by competing in the O’Brien and Sac County Fairs.
At the O’Brien County Fair, South O’Brien had the Reserve Champion Team (Jack Farquhar, Jason Wittrock, Eric Mars & Abby Boardman), 5th Place Team (Logan Dau, Austin Negus, Gabe Moermond & Caden Wittrock), 6th Place Team (Leo Sells, Dante Johnson, Jacob Van Lith & Grant Wagner), and the 13th Place Team (Sam Daniels, Brett Evans, Josie Brown & Abby Stout). The lone top ten individual was Negus placing 3rd.
The team then headed south that Friday to compete at the Sac County Fair. Will Stout, Austin Negus, Logan Dau and Eliot Boardman placed 3rd in the Junior Division. Abigail Boardman, Eric Mars and Jack Farquhar placed 4th in the Senior Division, while Dante Johnson, Abbby Stout and Aidan Rehder placed 11th. Individually, Negus placed 5th, Dau 7th in the Junior Division. Rehder, competing in his final contest, placed 4th and Mars 6th.
The team has one more contest to compete in this summer at the Woodbury County Fair.
