Obituary – Paul R. Rehder

Paul R. Rehder Paullina, Iowa

Services for Paul R. Rehder, age 52, of Paullina who passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar with Pastor John Adams, officiating.
Burial will be at Liberty Township Cemetery in Calumet.
Visitation with family present will be from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to O’Brien County Fair.
Paul Raymond Rehder, the son of Eugene and Jacqueline (Thomas) Rehder was born on August 20, 1972, in Primghar, Iowa. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown and later confirmed at Zion United Church of Christ in Calumet. He received his education and graduated from South O’Brien High School in 1991. After graduation, he went on to further his education at South Dakota State University. Throughout his school years, Paul farmed with his dad and after school joined him in the family farm operation. With his love for John Deere, he was also employed at Greenway Implement and AgriVision in the parts department. On December 31, 1996, Paul was united in marriage to Jamey Leng at Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar, they made their home west of Paullina and to this union three children were born, Cole, Skyler and Makenna.
Paul was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar. He enjoyed spending time at the lakes with his family and taking the kids on the boat, he also enjoyed snowmobile trips, making meals, Raiders football, his dog Mocha and fishing. He had a John Deere toy collection and farming was his passion. Above all, he enjoyed attending his kids’ activities and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jamey; three children, Cole and his wife Stephanie, Skyler, and Makenna Rehder, his mother-in-law, Rexann Brant and father-in-law, Gerald Leng; siblings, Laura (Tom) Cody, Andrea Blowers and Becky (Jeff) Kuehl; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer (Steve) LeClair, Joe (Faith) Leng, and Jeff (Kristen) Leng; beloved dog, Mocha; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Jackie and dog, Boise.
