The South O’Brien FFA Parliamentary Procedure team competed at Sub-Districts, earning a first-place silver rating. Team members Gabe Moermond, Noah Wittrock, Austin Negus, Alex Griebel, and BreeLee Rasmussen advanced to Districts, where they received a bronze rating. In this event, the team is given five parliamentary procedure abilities, out of a list of twelve, to demonstrate within a ten minute time frame. At the conclusion of the performance, each team member is then asked a question on parliamentary procedure. Junior Alex Griebel reflected on the experience, saying, “The contest was a very good learning experience.” He added, “We will continue to get better and be back next year!” Sophomore BreeLee Rasmussen stated,”It improved each of our public speaking abilities”.
