Gehlen Catholic gets the sweep over Wolverines
South O’Brien traveled to Le Mars October 15 for its final road War Eagle Conference match. The Jays improved to 7-2 in the Conference and 13-11 overall with a 3-0 win over the visitors. Set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-22.
Taylor Wulf and Raegan Plagge notched six kills apiece on the night. Chloe Hustedt and Reese Farquhar each added another four. Ashlyn Gunnerson was responsible for all 17 of the team’s set assists.
On the defensive side, Plagge, Farquhar and Tori Schueller each recorded a solo block with Plagge assisting Gunnerson on another block. Abby Nelson was the leader in digs with nine. At the service line Wulf was 10-of-10, Nelson 7-of-7 and Gunnerson 6-of-6.
