Trinity Christian uses four-run third to down Wolverines
Trinity Christian posted a crooked number on the scoreboard in the third inning and that proved to be the difference as the Tigers got past South O’Brien 5-3 June 28 at Hull. The Wolverines managed just single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings while Trinity also tallied once in the second. The loss sets South O’Brien’s final War Eagle Conference record at 2-8. The Wolverines are 5-15 overall.
There were no stats posted for South O’Brien as of press time. Stats for Trinity showed the Tigers with three hits, all singles, along with three walks and two batters reaching base by way of error. They also showed Wolverine pitching striking out seven Trinity batters. The Tiger pitching stats showed three earned runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.
