Ben Woodall was recognized as a State Star Finalist

Ben Woodall was recognized as a State Star Finalist in Agriscience. He stated “ I performed a science fair project my freshman year about the moisture needed for soybean emergence, as well as my work last summer at the Northwest Research Farm for Iowa State University. I filled out multiple short answer questions describing what I did throughout my work and projects, and was interviewed by a panel of judges as to why I deserved to be the Star in Agriscience.”
The 2024 Stars Over Iowa Finalists were selected for recognition as part of the 96th Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, April 16, 2024. Twenty-two finalists were selected in four different areas: Agribusiness, Agricultural Placement, Agricultural Production and Agriscience. The finalists were selected from a pool of 793 FFA members that will earn the Iowa FFA Degree—the highest honor the Iowa FFA Association can bestow upon an FFA member. The star awards recognize students who have developed outstanding agricultural skills and competencies through their career development programs and demonstrated outstanding management skills.
