Mayor Kay Gifford called the public hearing for the City of Sutherland Proposed Property Taxation for Fiscal Year July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 to order. Roll call showed council members present were: Patrick Nelson, Johanna Homan, Nancy Kuehl, Bruce Engelke, and Tyler Draper. Others present were Mari Radtke, John and Joyce Putnam, Ron and Pam Jalas, Mark Shriver, Rich Van Beek, and Amanda Vanderhoff. The clerk explained what the public hearing was concerning and with the help of council answered a few questions from the citizens. A motion was made by Patrick Nelson seconded by Tyler Draper to adjourn from the public hearing. Roll call: Ayes – Patrick Nelson, Johanna Homan, Nancy Kuehl, Bruce Engelke, and Tyler Draper. Motion carried.
