South O’Brien traveled to Orange City on Friday, June 17th and came home with an 11-1 six-inning win over Unity Christian.
The girls crushed the ball tonight ending up with a total 15 hits in the contest! Kenna Bauer went 3-for-3 at the dish, including a double and two singles, a run scored and an RBI. Karlee Warnke was 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and two runs.
Grace Fuhrman had the big hit of the night with a three-run homer in the first inning. She also had a single. Annika Jenness hit two singles and scored a run. Abby Schreck also had a pair of singles and an RBI. Alyssa Van Beek and Maddie Johnson each had a base hit.
Fuhrman pitched well for the visitors, allowing just three hits and one unearned run, walking one and striking out two. This was a good War Eagle Conference win for the Wolverines. Their overall record is 5-12 and their conference record stands at 2-6.
