Wolverines top West Sioux in golf opener

South O’Brien hosted the West Sioux boys at Primghar Golf Course to open the golf season. You couldn’t ask for a better night in the first week of April for a golf meet. The sun was out and there wasn’t much wind. The South O’Brien boys defeated the Falcons 197-221 in the War Eagle Conference match-up.
Senior captain Kaedon Louscher earned medalist honors with a 43. Kaedon has worked hard on his game the past couple of seasons and I’m excited to see what he does this year. Sophomore David Bottjen finished 2nd with a 47. David had a very strong freshman year and I’m expecting him to be a big contributor on the varsity level this year. Traven Bahrenfuss finished fifth with a 52, Dylan Strubbe sixth with a 55 and Derek Paulsen seventh with a 56.
The 3rd place medal went to West Sioux’s Avery Millikan who shot a 47. His Falcon teammate Mason Coppock carded a 49 to take 4th place.
