FFA Ag Sales Contest

On February 24, at the Sheldon High School, South O’Brien FFA member, Josie Brown, competed in the NE FFA Sub-District Individual Ag Sales contest. The product she chose to sell was the “Good Nature A24 Automatic Rat Trap” which is loaned to her by Eric Brown of Paullina Hardware. At the contest, Josie conducted her sales presentation to one judge who played the role of the customer while three other judges scored the event . Josie placed second, earned a Gold rating, and advanced onto districts.
The NW District FFA Leadership Contest was held March 6, at Pocahontas Area High School. There Josie competed in the Ag Sales contest and once again placed second and earned another Gold rating. She now moves on to the State FFA contest to compete against the other top district qualifiers on April 11th. “I’m looking forward to moving on, mostly because I did not think I would make it this far,” said Josie Brown.
