Harris-Lake Park blanks Wolverines in six-inning win
Harris-Lake Park scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game by the 10-run rule and defeat South O’Brien 10-0 June 21 at Lake Park. Senior pitcher Cole Ihnen limited the Wolverines to three hits in the War Eagle Conference contest.
Kester Grimm pitched 5-2/3 innings for the Wolverines and was saddled with the loss. He struck out five Wolves batters but yielded seven runs on seven hits. Dain Moermond struggled against the five batters he faced, walking four and allowing a hit. He was charged with three earned runs.
Grimm went 2-for-2 at the plate with a pair of singles. Pete Bottjen notched a single in three at bats. Wilson Millan drew a base on balls as did Brock Riedemann. Harris-Lake Park played error-free ball in the field. The Wolverines were guilty of three errors.
