High winds damaged trees throughout O’Brien County. Sheldo was hit some power outages which were quickly responded to by MidAmerican Energy. According to the National Weather Service the wind speed at the Sheldon airport was recorded as 64 mph as the severe weather went through Sheldon. A large amount of damage to the roof occurred to the business plaza located at 101 N. Runger in Sheldon.
