The South O’Brien track and field girls were finally able to get the competitive season underway April 9, taking part in the Russ Kraai Relays at Holstein. The Wolverines joined host Ridge View and five other schools at the event. They scored 30 team points to place sixth.
A pair of relays finished third. The 4×800 was made up of Elodie Wilson, Taylor Wulf, Reese Farquhar and Abby Woodall while the sprint medley unit consisted of Addison Hedberg, Kelsee Warnke, Avery Halverson and Camryn Strubbe. The distance medley relay group of Hedberg, Warnke, Halverson and Reese Farquhar placed fourth. The long jump saw Strubbe finish sixth and Woodall seventh.
