Primghar Chamber Annual Dinner Held February 9

Primghar Chamber’s annual dinner, held Friday February 9 at the Primghar Country Club opened with a social hour followed by a buffet dinner. About 70 people attended.
FoamWorx, a new business opened in 2023 in Primghar was the keynote speaker and winner Primghar Chamber recognition.
ProGo, a convenience store and fuel outlet in Primghar received a special award for its major renovation project of the store. Other Primghar businesses received renovation recognition from the Primghar Chamber were Pizza Ranch, the Primghar Library, 5th Gen Ag, First National Bank, Primghar Chiropractic Clinic and O’Brien County Ag Supply. Each business added square footage, added business features or updated their property in some way, large or small. Each upgrade may benefit from local tax incentives for property improvements.
Darrel Van Engen of “Big D’s” received the “Helping Hand Award.” Darrel did not attend the dinner but is known for his kindness throughout Primghar.
Terry Douglass took home the “Pride in Primghar” award for his tireless commitment to customer service at Neal Chase Lumber and for his willingness and helpfulness to the Primghar Chamber.
Posh Studios and H&H Homes, along with FoamWork are new businesses in Primghar receiving recognition.
BINGO followed dinner and the awards presentation. Several games were played and lots of prizes were awarded. Door prizes and big raffle prizes also were given away. Raffle prizes included Bill’s Cabin by Nichlson Edwards Grain, a meat bundle by First National Bank. The Chamber ponied up a lotter ticket with chamber bucks and a bottle of Crown with a glass.
