South O’Brien golf boys lose non-conference dual to Sioux Central
One night after hosting Hinton in conference golf, South O’Brien’s boys entertained Sioux Central in a non-conference dual. The visiting Rebels emerged as the 183-207 winners April 27 at Primghar Golf & Country Club.
“Only in Iowa do we go from golfing in 80 degrees on Monday to playing in the 40s on Tuesday but it was still nice to be out on the course,” remarked South O’Brien coach Heath Reichle. “We didn’t play quite as well as last night but it was good to get another meet in.”
Kaedon Louscher had his best round of the year and finished second with a 45. “Kaedon’s been playing really good as of late and it was nice to see him put a full round together,” said Reichle. “Traven Bahrenfuss finished sixth with a 51 and his game has really been progressing nicely as well. I can see Traven shaving a couple more strokes from his average before the end of the season.”
Team scores: Sioux Central 183, South O’Brien 207.
Medalists: 1st, Nathan Kueny (SC), 43; 2nd, Kaedon Louscher (SOS), 45; 3rd, Carter Buckley (SC), 45; 4th, Landon Olson (SC), 46.
