FFA Sac County Livestock Judging

The livestock judging season is beginning to wind down for the South O’Brien FFA team.
Two teams from South O’Brien competed in the Sac County Fair contest in Sac City. This contest always has the added twist of having the contestants answer three sets of questions, one set for each species, which adds a little more difficulty since the questions can range anywhere from which animal is carrying the most finish, to what color of halter a steer may be wearing.
The teams both ended up placing in the top ten, with the Senior team placing 4th with Eliot Boardman, Austin Negus, Logan Dau, and Gabe Moermond, and 5th with Sarah Puhrmann, John Puhrmann, and Jasper Johnson in the Junior Division.
Individually, Negus kept his streak of top-ten finishes going by placing 7th in the Senior Division with Dau at 9th. In the Junior Division, Johnson placed 8th.
