Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg visited Primghar on Tuesday August 1, 2023. He met with City Clerk/Administrator Carol Chicoine and Mayor Kurt Edwards. The Lieutenant Governor was updated on the many projects underway in Primghar and the extraordinary costs of utility projects to small communities.
Chicoine also explained to Gregg the practical impact of the recently passed property tax reform bill on local governments. The discussion included examples cost cutting sharing arrangements are being utilized as much as possible, and that the costs are stagnating for small communities.
