Remsen St. Mary’s is one of the top teams in the state for a good reason. They recorded 14 hits on their way to an 18-0 five-inning trouncing of South O’Brien June 14 at Paullina. Reese Farquhar had the only hit of the night in the bottom of the fifth inning to break up the St. Mary’s no-hitter. The Wolverines also helped out the Hawks by walking seven and committing five errors in the field. It was a tough night all around. Shay Hatting and Brooklyn Edwards combined to give up 14 hits and 18 runs (11 earned) while walking seven and striking out three.
