NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR GENERATION ADDITION FOR CITY OF PRIMGHAR, IOWA, AND THE TAKING OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SAID WORK.
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk for the City of Primghar, Iowa, at the City Offices at 160 S Hayes Avenue, Primghar, Iowa 51245 before 1:30 PM, on April 26, 2023, for the construction of the work described below for the City of Primghar, Primghar, Iowa. At said time and place, bids will be publicly opened and read. The bids will be considered by the City Council at a subsequent meeting to be held on May 10, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
The City Council will conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of the plans, specifications, and proposed form of contract for the equipment which are now on file at the City Offices at its meeting on May 10, 2023 at 5:00 PM. At said meeting, or at a later time and place as will then be fixed, the Council will act upon the bids.
The work is described in general as follows:
Installation of Owner-furnished 2,000 kW self-contained generator and associated facilities to be connected to the City’s existing substation. Included are foundations, raceway, grounding, switchgear modifications, electrical wiring, bus work, exhaust stack, and piping.
The above work and equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file in the City offices in said City of Primghar, Iowa, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.
