It was a fifth place finish for the South O’Brien track and field boys as they participated in the Spirit Lake Co-ed Invitational April 11 at Spirit Lake. The Wolverines tallied 41 points. The team champ was Spirit Lake with a 169 total.
There was one first-place finish for South O’Brien as Willie Conley captured the 400 meter dash with a clocking of 54.06. Josh Gnade finished third in the shot put and Conley was third in the high jump.
Boston Riedemann placed fourth in the 110 meter hurdles. He also was a part of two fourth place relays. He joined Jacob Van Lith, Hudson Oolman and Conley on the sprint medley relay and combined with Grant Wagner, Brody Van Beek and Brennan Billick on the shuttle hurdle relay A team.
