Rodney Heimensen Was Recently Presented A Certificate For 50 Continuous Years Of Membership In The American Legion. Rodney Served His Country In The U.S. Army From 1966 To 1968 With One Tour Of Duty In Vietnam As A Radio Operator Where He Lived In A Tent. Rodney And His Wife, Myrna, Live In Primghar.

The Primghar American Legion Post #36 has not yet designated specific projects for the 2023 year. Past projects are sending 1 South O’Brien Junior boy to Boys State and the Honor Flight to Washington, D. C. The Honor Flight flys a limited number of veterans to Washington D.C. There veterans visit monuments paying respect to veterans of this nation’s wars and hard fought freedoms.
Volunteers for Sunday’s pancake breakfast estimated attendance at about 175.
