The Baton Exchange Between Hudson Oolman, Left, And Cole Tjossem Was Made At Close Quarters But Still Led To A Win For South O’Brien In The Sprint Medley Relay At The Wolverine Early Bird Meet.

Willie Conley Hits The Home Stretch On His Way To A First Place Finish In The Wolverine Early Bird Meet’s 400 Meter Dash.

Willie Conley was a triple winner as South O’Brien hosted the Wolverine Early Bird Meet March 30 at Paullina. Individually, Conley won the high jump and the 400 meter dash. In addition, he ran the 400 meter anchor leg on the first place sprint medley relay entry. His teammates on the sprint med were Boston Riedemann, Cole Tjossem and Hudson Oolman.
South O’Brien placed third in the team standings with a total of 85 points. Okoboji was the team champion with a 164 total and West Monona finished as runner-up after scoring 106 points.
Second-place finishes went to Boston Riedemann in the 110 meter hurdles and to Conley in the 200 meter dash. Tjossem was third in the 100 meters. The Wolverine 4×100 relay also placed third. Members of that relay were Jacob Van Lith, Hudson Oolman, Riedemann and Tjossem.
