Services for Judy K. Massmann, age 80, of Sanborn, formerly of Paullina who passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Prairie View Home in Sanborn. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina with Rev. Donald Meyer ~ officiating.
Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.
Visitation with family present will be from 3 Ð 5 P.M. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.
Judy Kay Massmann, the daughter of Peter and Susan (Peters) Moos, was born on July 18, 1942, in Paullina, Iowa. She was confirmed and baptized on April 19, 1959, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She received her education and graduated in 1960 from Paullina High School. On April 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Frederick ÒFredÓ Massmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. The couple farmed together for 49 years southeast of Paullina. Judy passed away at Prairie View Home in Sanborn, reaching the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 13 days. Judy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and baking, being a farmwife, and playing all kinds of games. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and being with her grandchildren. Left to cherish JudyÕs memory are her three sons and their spouses, Brian and Beth Massmann, Kevin and Bobbi Massmann both of Paullina and Lance and Dawn Massmann of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; eight grandchildren, Brooke (Brad) Wittrock, Heather (Ryan) Bockes, Paige (Jordan) Plathe, Megan (Colton) Gable, Nicholas (Kylee) Massmann, Anthony (fiancŽ, McKenna Jacobson) Massmann, Brittany (Alex) Thomason, and Kelsie Massmann; eleven great grandchildren, Emerson, Lindy, Charlee, Jaxton, Bethany, Penny, McKenzee, Baylee, Brynlee, Berkley, and Jaxon; siblings, Joan Rohde, Diane (Ronald) Durst, Cindy (Larry) Puhrmann, Dennis Moos, and Barb (Dick) Lambert; also other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred in 2010; brothers, James, and Ronald Moos; and brother-in-law, Burdette Rohde.
