Services for Carol Idso, age 78, of Archer who passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at MercyOne Hospital in Primghar. Her funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Archer United Methodist Church with Pastor Jacob Sandholm ~ officiating.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 – 7 P.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Primghar.

Carol Idso, the daughter of Charles and Geraldine (Carraher) Pridie was born on October 6, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended Hinton School and graduated from Hinton High School. She was united in marriage to Marlin Idso on December 27, 1969, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple made their home in Sioux City. Carol worked as a dispatcher for many years for Darling International. She also was an AVON lady for over 40 years. In 2001 Marlin and Carol built their new home in Archer in 2001. Carol retired in 2018. Marlin preceded Carol in death on December 21, 2019, and she remained on their acreage. Carol passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Primghar reaching the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
Carol enjoyed mowing the acreage, taking care of her birds, squirrels, and flowers. She enjoyed baking and bowling. She especially cherished her time watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chad Idso of Kingsley, Iowa and Steve (Mary) Idso of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; grandchildren, Stephanie (Justin), Chris (Becca), Shaylee, Alex and Max; great grandchildren, Kaydyn, Kylee and Korbyn; siblings, Tim Pridie of Hinton, Iowa and Francie Peterson of Sioux City, Iowa; sister-in-law, Marlys Paul of Clinton, Iowa; also, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marlin, siblings, Charles Pridie, Robert Pridie, Gerald Pridie and Patricia Bliss.
