The Sutherland Ruritan Club each year purchase and hand out Red Oak trees to all the fifth grade students at Zion St. John’s Lutheran School and the South O’Brien Public school. When the trees are delivered a Ruritan member gives the children advice about trees. This includes; “Stand Tall and Proud”, “Go Out on a Limb”, “Remember Your Roots”, “Drink Plenty of Water”, and “Enjoy the View”.
