Sheldon/South O’Brien began a busy week of wrestling with a pair of dual wins January 10 at Sheldon. The Orabs downed Sioux City North 51-21 and then avenged an earlier tiebreaker loss to Storm Lake with a 49-30 victory over the Tornadoes.
Recording pins in the win over the Stars were Josh Hoffman at 106 pounds, Coy De Boer at 152, Jarrett Roos at 182, Zach Brinkman at 220 and Jack Leng at heavyweight. In addition, Jordan Jenness won a 9-2 decision at 170 pounds. Victories by forfeit were awarded to Cole Cox at 126, Eddie Millan at 132 and Tyson Getting at 160.
Winning by fall against Storm Lake were Hoffman, De Boer, Getting, Jenness, Roos and Brinkman, along with Anthony Escobar at 138 pounds. At 132 pounds Eddie Millan scored a 9-0 major decision victory. Mitchel Fischer won a 3-0 decision at 145.
