South O’Brien traveled to Akron September 22 for a War Eagle Conference meeting with Akron-Westfield. The sets were close but the Westerners won them all to gain the 3-0 victory. The scores were 25-19, 25-17 and 25-22. The loss dropped the Wolverines to 1-5 in conference play.
Maddie Johnson produced seven kills in 12 attempts with just one error for a kill efficiency of .500. Marissa Ebel added six kills and Karlee Warnke and Brooklyn Edwards five each.
