The Primghar Community Building was surprisingly full on a summer Friday evening, August 5 for a campaign stop of two Democratic candidates, John Norwood and Michael Franken. Norwood is working to fill the Iowa Secretary of Agriculture position currently occupied by Republican Mike Naig. Admiral Michael Franken won the nomination to go head to head against Iowa Senatorial Candidate Chuck Grassley. Former O’Brien County Democratic Chair Karen Sterk now serves on staff with the Franken campaign. The O’Brien County seat remains open.
