The South O’Brien FFA Livestock Evaluation Team kicked off their season at the Sioux County Fair contest.
Classes of breeding beef, swine and sheep, along with market beef, swine, sheep and goats were judged.
Logan Dau, Jacob DeBerg, Gabe Moermond and Austin Negus were awarded the Champion Junior Team and 3rd Overall Team honors, as well as placing 1st in the sheep division. Individually, Dau was Champion Jr. individual and 5th overall, DeBerg Reserve Champion Jr. individual and 7th overall, and Moermond 8th place Jr. individual.
The team of Kyan Kruse, MaKenna Wallin and Bode Bailey placed 15th, while the team of Leo Sells, Hunter Lange and Bensen Rohwer placed 18th.
