Soup Fundraiser Successful
By Mari Radtke
Saving Grace Daycare in Paullina hosted a first ever soup fundraiser. The daycare has now been open a continuous 18 months with only one minor closure due to COVID. The turnout Sunday was good with very positive comments on the “Mothers’ Room.” A second room remodeling is expected to be complete at the first of March.
Lunch was held in the newly completed “Flex Room” where the Mothers’ Room is built within. The space allows staff flexibility while meeting both demand and state requirements at a minimum of expense. The Mothers’ Room gives privacy for nursing or other needs.
Director Karey Williams said, “This fundraiser really helps a great deal.” She was particularly happy to personally meet some of the people responsible for getting “Saving Grace” off the ground. Saving Grace has openings for children of all ages.
