The Orabs lost to the Lions 45-30 but came back to eke out a 35-34 win over MOC-Floyd Valley. The difference was the tiebreaker point earned by the host team for winning the most matches in the dual.
Against Central Lyon/GLR a trio of Orab wrestlers won by fall. At 106 pounds Josh Hoffman recorded a quick pin against Aston Van Beek in :53. It took a little longer for Anthony Escobar at 132 pounds as he pinned Lane Kruger in 5:53. Coy De Boer’s 138-pound match with Cam Borman was over in 1:58. The other two victories over the Lions came by decision with Jarrett Roos blanking Graham Eben 7-0 at 170 and Zach Brinkman topping Trevor Dieren 8-5.
Recording pins in the win over the Dutchmen were De Boer in 2:35 over Irving Ramirez, Roos in 1:56 over Kipp Huss and heavyweight Kaedon Louscher in just 52 seconds over Kyle Walding. At 182 Landon Sietstra won a 14-6 major decision over Beau Weber. The other winners were Jordon Jenness 3-2 over Carter Peterson at 160 and Carter Wohlert 5-2 over Jesus Ramirez at 220.
