He will be escorted to the Johannsen Center with a parade. The side-by-side lineup is at the fire station at 4:30 (open for anyone). He arrives at 5:00 to light the tree. The Johannsen Center is the place featuring family fun and a chili cookoff while visiting with Santa, taking photos and get a candy cane. Other inside activities include crafts, hot cocoa, cider and cookies. Be entertained outside by enjoying s’mores with firemen. There are 3 locations around downtown to do that! Saddle Club is doing horse drawn carriage rides.
For the chili chefs out there looking for a plaque or just love to share their favorite chili recipe, you may enter the December 18 contest by stopping at Security State Bank and visiting with Andrew, or call 712-446-3324 or 712-730-8238.
