O’Brien County Conservation Board would like to say “Thank You” to all the volunteers that have shared their time and talents this past year. A volunteer Christmas tea will be hosted at the Prairie Heritage Center on Friday, December 10th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to honor all of the great volunteers. All volunteers – past, present, and future – are invited to join in the celebration. Light refreshments will be served and an overview of upcoming events and plans will be shared.

Create the Ultimate Birding Spot
Get your backyard ready for an awesome winter of birding! The O’Brien County Conservation Naturalist, Abbie, will lead an hour long program on birds you may see this winter and what you can do to create the ultimate birding spot in your own yard. You will also have the opportunity to create your own feeder to take home. This program is at no cost and is great for people of all ages.
The Backyard Winter Birding program will be held on Saturday, December 10th at the Prairie Heritage Center from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Registration is required. Participants can register at https://prairieheritagecenter.org/. Registration is open till December 9th.
