The South O’Brien boys basketball team returns a pair of starters from last year’s 13-10 campaign. Juniors Jake Wallin and Hudson Oolman are joined by returning letterwinners senior Pete Bottjen and juniors Jacob Van Lith, Sawyer Honkomp and Boston Riedemann. Junior Dain Moermond also lettered last season but is lost for the season due to an injury. Rounding out the squad are junior Keaton Sampson, sophomores Ben Woodall and David Bottjen and freshman Derek Paulsen.
Head Coach Kiley Yates returns for his 16th season at the Wolverine helm after leading the team to a fourth place finish in the War Eagle Conference last year with a 7-3 mark. He views Remsen St. Mary’s, Gehlen Catholic and Unity Christian as the favorites in this year’s conference race.
