New Vaccination Guidelines Announced
Effective March 8th, Iowa vaccine providers can officially begin vaccinating additional priority populations. Individuals 64 years of age and younger with medical conditions that are or may be an increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 are now eligible. Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Questions:
- O’Brien County Public Health has received several questions over the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. At this point in time, O’Brien County Public Health has not received any Johnson & Johnson vaccine. There was a limited supply of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine that was sent to select counties last week. O’Brien County Public Health does not know when Johnson & Johnson vaccine will become available.
- O’Brien County Public Health has been distributing the Moderna vaccine.

Area Agency on Aging - Local Area Agencies on Aging are available to assist individuals 65 and older currently receiving services or eligible for services with navigating the vaccination process.
