The FFA Poultry Evaluation Career Development Event provides for FFA members to display their agricultural knowledge and skills in this area. 
The South O’Brien FFA Team of Bode Bailey, Brett Evans, Bensen Rohwer, and Ethan Schwarz competed against 485 other FFA members from around the state from 130 chapters.
The team placed classes of live poultry; placed and graded classes of ready to cook poultry; graded classes of egg interior and exteriors; identified and graded further processed poultry products; and took a poultry production exam.  
The team placed 8th in both Egg Grading and Ready-to-Cook Poultry and 14th overall with a Gold rating.
