Remsen St. Mary’s spotted South O’Brien an early 1-0 lead then got going to down the Wolverines 11-1 in five innings June 6 at Resmsen. South O’Brien slipped to 0-2 in War Eagle Conference play and 0-6 overall.
The Hawks, top ranked in Class 1A, combined six hits (including three doubles) with eight walks and five hit batters to do their damamge. Keaton Harpenau pitched all five innings, allowing two hits and one walk. He struck out eight batters and hit two.
