Sandy Fritz was appointed to another 2-year term as City Clerk and during budget discussion of city financials notified council she would be asking for her salary to be increased to $7000 per year noting the additional legal work that has occurred this year and what is expected in the coming year. She also noted that insuring additional city structures as had been discussed would put the city’s levy above $10 per $1000. She explained she was looking to keep the levy at $8.10/$1000. A planned fire truck purchase has been pushed to the 2026-27 fiscal year, allowing the city and townships a little more time to set aside more funds.

Archer residents will be notified of the need for tree branch removal to keep visibility at intersections and power lines clear. The city can charge if they have to hire the work done.
