Dictionaries to Live With

by Mari Radtke
Each October, P.E.O. FX gives each 3rd grade student in the South O’Brien School District their very own dictionary. On Thursday October 24 the Zion-St. John 3rd grade students were gifted their dictionaries. The dictionaries have many features. The deaf sign language can be learned from the pages inside. Quantity equivalents can be easily found like gallons to liters. Capital cities is another feature. The dictionary is a source of a wide variety of information.
Members of P.E.O are very proud of giving the students the dictionaries. The members know how valuable a single source of so much information can be. The students are excited to get their dictionaries. It takes them a little closer to being able to find out for themselves!
