The Gift of Knowledge FX P.E.O. Presents Dictionaries

by Mari Radtke
Every fall, members of FX P.E.O. of Paullina give each third grade student in the South O’Brien School District their own dictionary. The dictionary holds a huge number of words that show the word’s origin, what part of speech it belongs to, the meaning, a pronunciation key and so much more about each word.
This dictionary also has lots of extra information. You can find the longest word in the world in there. The dictionary shows sign language, give information about the 8 planets, and the words to the “Star Spangled Banner.” You can learn the words of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. With the words you can decide what it means to you. The atomic table is found inside.
These dictionaries are great tools providing so much information.
P.E.O. also helps young ladies and women with their education and scholarships. Contact any P.E.O. member to learn more.
