Wolverines go hitless in five-inning loss to HLP
South O’Brien was held without a hit by Harris-Lake Park pitcher Javen Baumgarn as the Wolves won 10-0 in five innings May 20 at Lake Park. Trevor Fiddelke coaxed a walk against the senior hurler.
Harris-Lake Park got to work early at the plate, scoring four runs in each of the first two innings. Seven of those runs came off Wolverine starter Gabe Moermond, who was relieved in the second inning by Ryan Fuller. Moermond yielded just two hits but walked six. He also notched a pair of strikeouts and hit a batter. All seven of the runs were earned.
Fuller’s three innings of work included three runs on one hit. He recorded three K’s and three walks. One of the three runs was earned. South O’Brien committed just one error.
