South O’Brien Handed Another Football Loss

Sibley-Ocheyedan claimed a home field advantage over the visiting South O’Brien Wolverines on Friday September 19. The lop-sided scoring ended at 42-7.
Senior Brady Riedemann completed 40% of his pass attempts, 8/21, gaining 142 offensive yards. Receivers did a great job with ball marking an average 17.8 yards per carry. Senior Brody Van Beek completed 3 targets for 83 yards. One of those receptions is the only Wolverine score that game.
Senior Jaden Kreber caught 2 for 28 yards and Junior Marshal Warnke matched those stats, catching 2 and gaining 28 yards.
Riedemann was the leading ball carrier. His 11 runs garnered an additional 22 years. Warnke, in two tries was stopped at the line of scrimmage. Van Beek put up 17 big yards from his only carry. Sophomore Brayden Stines was taken down 4 yards behind the scrimmage line. Senior Gabe Moermond gained 3 yards on his only catch.
Senior Brennan Billick made the S-O offensive work hard. He is credited with 8 solo tackles and 10.5 overall. Sophomore Brooks Billick added 3 solos to his credit with a total of 6 tackles. Kreber, Van Beek and Riedemann each had 5.5 tackles overall with Van Beek and Riedemann each marking 5 solos and Kreber 3. Warnke had 3 solos from his 4.5 total tackles.
Other solos came from sophomore Connor Hedberg, 2 and 1 each from Moermond, junior Corbin Warnke, junior Will Stout, sophomore Jasper Johnson, sophomore Drew Wittrock and senior Westyn Harper.
