Half a Century of Market to Market: Celebrate with Us
JOHNSTON, Iowa (July 22, 2025) – Join us on August 24 at 2 p.m. at the Iowa PBS studios in Johnston for a special event as we celebrate a remarkable milestone – the 50th season of Market to Market. This iconic television program has been a trusted source of agricultural news and analysis for five decades, and we’re excited to celebrate with the community.
The event will begin at 2 p.m. with a reception including photo opportunities on the Market to Market and the MtoM Podcast sets, pork burger sliders from the Story County Pork Producers and a restored tractor display from Central Iowa Tractor Club. At 3 p.m., the Market to Market team will host a live MtoM Podcast discussion in the Maytag Auditorium with some of the program’s market analysts, taking guests through the years of the program.
“It is an honor to be part of a program that has such a long history,” said Senior Producer and Director David Miller. “The fact that Market to Market has been a part of those of us who live and work in rural America for so long is a testament to the viewers who come back every week for the news and market information we are able to provide.”
Whether you’re a longtime viewer, a member of the agricultural community, or simply interested in the evolution of this beloved program, this celebration is for you. Join us as we look back on 50 incredible seasons and look forward to many more.
