Drug Arrest in O’Brien County
On June 23, 2025, at approximately 2:40 PM, the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 6116 433rd Street, Primghar, (Gaza).
Joel Daniel Wallinga, the sole occupant of the residence, was arrested and transported to the O’Brien County Jail. Wallinga has been charged with the following Iowa state codes.
- Drug Trafficking, 5gm-100kg, 124.401(1)(b)(7)
- Possession of Methamphetamine, second offense, 124.401(5)
- Possession of Marijuana, second offense, 124.401(5)(b)
- Drug Tax Stamp Violation, 453B.12
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 124.414
Wallinga is being held without bond until he appears before a Magistrate Judge.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sheldon Police Department, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Estherville Police Department, all are members of the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force. Agents from the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement (DNE), also assisted in the search and subsequent arrest.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
