Wolverines double up HLP to earn first win
South O’Brien doubled the score on Harris-Lake Park to pick up its first baseball win of the season. The 8-4 victory June 12 at Paullina was a make-up game that had originally been scheduled for May 27.
The Wolverines took an early lead they would never relinquish by scoring a run in the first inning. They added four more runs in the fourth. Harris-Lake Park got on the board with a run in the fifth inning to cut the deficit to 5-1. South O’Brien tallied three times in the bottom of the sixth. The Wolves posted three runs in their last time at bat but it wasn’t enough,
As of press time, the stats for South O’Brien were not posted on Bound. The HLP stats on Bound showed the Wolves allowing seven hits and five walks to the Wolverines while getting 10 hits of their own.
