The South O’Brien track and field girls did not produce any conference champions but did place high in a number of events at the War Eagle Conference Meet hosted by West Sioux May 5 at Hawarden. The Wolverines earned 61 team points and were fourth. Hinton scored 175 points to easily outdistance the competition and take the conference title.
Camryn Strubbe was second in the high jump as was Taylor Wulf in the discus. Also placing second was the 4×800 relay of Reese Farquhar, Wulf, Avery Halverson and Grace Keen. Tori Schueller finished third in the 100 meter hurdles and anchored the shuttle hurdle relay to a third place finish. Also on that relay were Abby Nelson, Maeci Stevens and Chloe Hustedt
